If DA is good, ok. I have used motors in other applications that warn against being painted for thermal reasons.

DA painted it and I don't think it does. BUT, I did have some heat damage reported when I sent the engine back.

I made 2 flights last weekend with the refreshed engine and I was at about 200F max on front and back cylinders.

So, I don't think its a big issue. I wouldn't necessarily have it painted, if I bought new. (Covered by Cowl...)

the painted engine looks pretty but doesn't that effect cooling by adding a insulating layer?

    Froot Loops Back In Action

As some of you know, Froot Loops (my Tuny Built Carden Pro) has some engine sagging toward the end of the season last year. Then the engine became difficult to start. While trying to start the engine, my wonderful Rolling Chicken Stick went astray and put a nice "bruise" on the cowl.

So, not I have the DA200 back fresh from DA and the cowl back from Tuny and it is dying to be in the air.

So, we have made plans to come up to Broken Arrow for the first contest of the year and we will be airborn again!

Come to Broken Arrow and see Froot Loops as she competes for 2020 bragging rights! Click image for larger version
