NOTE: STANDARD sequences will be in use. (Intermediate, Advanced, Unlimited)
This contest will fly Basic through Unlimited classes and Freestyle.
The field will be open for practice Friday September 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. IMPORTANT - Pilots must have a spotter (does
not have to be a pilot). No exceptions. The CORKS field is co-located on the Chapman Memorial Airport (full scale). Pilots should
review the full scale see-and-avoid policy posted on the information board in the pit area prior to flight. The airport will be open
during Friday practice and contest operations Saturday and Sunday. CORKS personnel and/or your CD will be on field Friday to assist
with parking familiarization, etc. Chapman Airport may be closed by NOTAM for the contest. That has not been officially decided as
of this posting.
Site Facilities
Shade structure with limited space. AC power in shade structure and in front of it by transmitter impound station.
RV parking is available in the grass to the RIGHT of the driveway as you enter. RV’s and camping trailers using this area need to park
parallel to the driveway. There are no hookups. Back-in parking against the pits is available for cars and trucks with and without
airplane trailers and larger RV’s. Large RV overflow parking may be available in the lower west end of the field providing dry ground
conditions exist.
Primitive camping is available on-site.
Entry fee is $30 for all pilots except Novice who fly free.
Novice Class Saturday - This class is designed for pilots who would like to try IMAC in a stress-free non-competitive environment.
The Novice Class will fly Saturday only with registration starting at 8:00 a.m. Any pilot flying must be an AMA member. Novice
class aircraft do not need to be scale aerobatic types. Novice pilots will fly the 2023 Basic sequence and receive tips, techniques, and
feedback from experienced IMAC pilots.
Novice pilots fly free.
Registration will be available starting at 8:00 a.m. Saturday. Pilot meeting at 8:30 sharp. Wheels up 9:00. Pilot meetings and start time
schedule applies to both days.
The meet is planned for three rounds of knowns Saturday. The Sunday schedule is one round of unknowns and one round of knowns
followed by one round of freestyle competition. Time constraints and weather will dictate actual rounds flown.
There will be an optional pizza party with dessert Saturday evening after flying. The fee is $5/person. Pleas pay at registration. A food
concession will be available Saturday only. Drinks, snacks, hot dogs etc. will be available. Donations will be accepted.
