Event description: RCCD Aerobatics Wetzel Summer IMAC Kickoff
Entry Fee: $40 for IMAC members/Non Members, $10 for Basic (IMAC) and first timers (non-IMAC).
Camping Details: RV parking and overnight camping (no hooks up), gated entrance.
Club amenities: (power, shade, shelter)?
Large covered pavilion with electricity, tables (picnic), flight stands and Port-o-Potty(s) onsite.
Large (400yd x 150yd) well groomed smooth grass runway, 300ft x 45ft fabric runway with flight line fencing and pilot stations. Large extended pit area and fenced viewing stands for public.
RV parking and overnight camping (no hooks up), gated entrance.
Plenty of hotels are available in the area about 15-20 minutes from the field.
Easy access from Canada (Blue-water Bridge).

Come join us for the (Inaugural) RCCD Aerobatics Wetzel Summer IMAC event in SE Michigan and near the Canadian boarder.
RCCD has a large covered pavilion with electricity, tables (picnic), flight stands, and Port-o-Potty(s) onsite. Our field has a large (400 yd x 150 yd) well groomed smooth grass runway, and a new 300 ft x 45 ft fabric runway with flight line fencing and pilot stations.
Our large extended pit area has plenty of room to spread out with many flight stands available. We have plenty of picnic tables under a large pavilion to ward off the sun if needed. Our field also has a fenced spectator area with viewing stands for the public. We have a large parking area and a separate field (control line) for RV parking and overnight camping (no hook ups) all behind a gated entrance.
Plenty of hotels are available in the area within 15-20 minutes from the field. There is easy access from Canada (via the Blue-water Bridge) for our Canadian friends.
The Event will be held at the RCCD Wetzel Flying Field at 26617 27 Mile Rd. New Haven, Mi 48048 on June 10-11 2023.
Class Competition Divisions will be Basic – Sportsman – Intermediate – Advance - Unlimited . We will also be supporting open and 3D flying between rounds and during lunch. The field will be open for practice on Friday June 9th and early registration (Noon - 4 pm) will also be available. Pilots meeting 9am and wheels up at 10am on Saturday and Sunday.
Entry Fee $40 for IMAC members/Non Members, $10 for basic (IMAC) and first timers (non-IMAC). On Saturday and Sunday we will be offering a Light Breakfast (coffee & donuts; donation), and our culinary team will be offering food and drinks for lunch.
