2022 Regional Championship

We are quickly approaching the final contest of the 2022 year and by the looks of things we are going out with a blast! The current sign-up list has 27 pilots with a great mix of classes. If you haven't signed up yet please do!

We have also solidified the banquet menu for Saturday evening. We will be having a full BBQ dinner with all the fixings for $15 a person. We will be collecting for the meal at registration on Saturday morning. The cost of the meal includes:

• Pulled pork
• Pulled chicken
• Smashed potatoes
• Green beans w/bacon
• Mac & cheese
• Baked beans w/brisket
• Salad
• Bread/rolls
• Dessert
• Water/Soda/Coffee

Anyone in attendance is welcome to join us for the banquet but they need to reserve their spot with payment no later than Saturday morning at 9am. I will gladly accept any pre-reservations here to help get an idea of our order size.

James Hugg and I will be on site Friday morning to welcome anyone showing up early. There is plenty of parking on site but they are first come, first served.

Hi Rick - we are always happy to see any and all of our US friends come up to our contests. I know there are certain concerns about the border however it is not as difficult as many people fear. It should also get easier by next year with the Covid issue starting to be behind us - at least in terms of ongoing border restrictions. If there are any questions about coming up here and crossing the border I am happy to help. I have been crossing the border to fly in contests for more than 10 years and I rarely have had any issues. I will make sure to say hi when I see you at Weak Signals.

Thanks very much for the note. I traveled extensively throughout Canada when I was working for my previous employer before I retired. Let's say I have a bit of history with CBP going into the country. That was then and paperwork issues were the problem along with a change in foreign worker rules. It took months to clear up. Going in for a pleasure trip should not be a problem. I will be sure to seek you out at the regionals. Safe travels on your way down.
