Today celebrates Andy Kane's birthday. Although he passed away almost 2 years ago, many newer members have no idea of his contribution to the IMAC Organization.
Andy was the IMAC Sequence Committe's first Librarian, followed by Curtis Cozier. He served as Librarian for almost 9 years straight, selecting and distributing all the Unknowns on a weekly basis for the national and international IMAC contests.
At that time, we had a different website and he developed a procedure for future Librarians which was posted in a secured area for the ISC members only. Things have changed since then, but I have included a copy of what was involved in the process before and after unknown sequences were selected, so that there would not be a duplication of selection in subsequent weeks.
We thank Andy and hope he's looking down on us from up there. You're missed, young fella!
