Coronavirus - Covid - 19
I am copying here for anyone who may not have gotten the Blast Mail the BOD sent out this morning.

To: IMAC Membership
Several members have contacted BOD members in reference to the board’s stance on contests and schools with the existing situation of the Coronavirus or COVID-19 internationally.
The board will not intervene with any decision made from a concern for safety of our members. We suggest that the CD’s, and hosting clubs, along with direct communication with the Regional Directors, ARD’s and the pilots themselves come to decision based on the advice of your Countries, State and Local guidelines and suggestions. We have seen many areas where hotels and eateries have been closed for the prevention of the spread of this virus. Again, it is the boards position that the safety of our members be all of our number one priority. We do suggest that all use a 7 (seven) day window for these decisions and in direct contact with your regional directors and pilots. Again, as the information being released is changing quickly.
Further, if a contest is in need of cancellation and not able to be re-scheduled if USA. Please contact the AMA to get a refund of the sanction fee. We have confirmed that the AMA is providing this. Also, if a contest is to be re-scheduled, then contact the AMA to have the dates checked and sanction changed to new dates for the event. If an International contest, then get with your appropriate sanctioning body to determine what you can do.
As this is almost a daily changing issue worldwide, we will try to keep in front of this and offer any further information as it becomes available. At all costs, our members health and well being are our main concern here.
